This rich, full flavour cider is a blend from 2 vintages. Where Rough Diamond (my summer cider), is light and appley with a zesty acidity, Crazy Diamond is full of Somerset's finest tannins giving a lingering finish over a soft acidity.

The 2011 White Label was good, this is even better, which is born out by the first prize at Chippenham CAMRA Beer Festival! Keeved ciders retain the natural fructose from the apple which lends to a fruitier cider. This is my 'house' keeved blend, it is light, fruity and soft with a refreshing zing.

I am releasing half of the batch of this nicely balanced cider early. Bottled 3 weeks ago, just before fermentation finished, it has acheived a nice level of fizz from the natural fructose present in the apple and although still immature it is fresh, fruity and very clean. Lovely on a summers afternoon, if we ever have one...
